J.R. Rain here to announce the publication of my latest mystery novel, Hail Mary, third in the Jim Knighthorse Series, in which Knighthorse finds himself on the trail of his mother’s killer, a cold case spanning two decades. While on the hunt, he takes on a brutal case that takes him into shark-infested waters and deep into the heart of Mexico.
This was a fun series to revisit. Believe it or not, it’s been six years since I wrote The Mummy Case (yes, back in that freezing cold basement in Seattle). Jim Knighthorse is quite a character, and he often even has me chuckling. Anyway, I do think you'll enjoy his latest mystery, in which Jim will finally find the answers he seeks.

I’m about halfway through a Samantha Moon holiday novella, called Christmas Moon, in which Sam meets someone that surprises even her (and, no, it's not Santa...although that would have been a hoot). Expect this to be published in a couple of weeks. At least by Thanksgiving.
Vampire Dawn (Vampire for Hire #5) will be out on Christmas. (Boy, I’m just hitting all the holidays.)
I’m moving to southern California on 11/11/11. I'm very much looking forward to some warmer weather and hanging out with friends and family.
